Tomorrow's Generation of Writers

The grownups tell us this all the time -- we are the generation that shapes the future. But have we ever thought about how true that is? We ARE the future. One day all the grownups are going to step down and hand the world over to us. It sounds cheesy, or unrealistic, or downright scary, but it's true.

How can each of us actually affect the future? How can we change things? I'm only one voice -- what can I do?
Don't be a silly goose muffin! You're already doing it! We're writers, are we not? And we will change the world with the words we write, whether it is by stating some mind-boggling truth, shedding some light in a darkened world, or just making an increasingly depressed society smile.

So let's get writing! Feel free to wander around the site. Feel free to post. Definitely comment (I love reading comments!). But, most importantly, go write something! Promise me (well, promise yourself) that you will write SOMETHING every day. Something fun, school assignments don't count! Even if you have to write while your math teacher is talking (don't tell your mother I told you to do that), get something down every day.

Remember: the future is in your hands. What are you going to do with it?
