Writing Websites You May Enjoy

Here are some writing related websites I'd recommend:

http://www.creativewritingprompts.com/#
This is just a bunch of writing prompts. Good for when you are stuck, bored, or feeling particularly creative.

An evolutionary writing site -- where you get to continue the stories you find the most interesting (be sure to look for Captain Whitney's snippents -- they're the best!)

I didn't actually READ any of these -- so if there are bad/stupid ones, don't blame me! They're all just writing prompts, and it looked pretty good.

This is one of my favourite places to get writing prompts! Feel free to explore the rest of the website, too. There's some good stuff.

Once again, I did not explore this site entirely, but the Character Name Generator alone makes it worth visiting, I think.

Besides the phone book, this is my favourite place to get names. Or look up the meaning of names. Or just waste time taking/making polls when I should be doing my math homework.

http://www.cicadamag.com/
A teen writing magazine. This is a good place to send in short stories and poems in the hopes that they will be posted and critiqued. Also a good place to send in writing for publication. Also a good place to read other teen's writing. (Have I used "also" excessively?)

This site is amazing! I only read one article (because I'm lazy), but I think there is some definite information to be gleaned from these passages. Another good time waster -- 'cause who really likes doing math homework, anyways? (Besides Tina, but she's a crazy head)

This is an EXCELLENT site for writing prompts. Mostly, the woman who made it makes me laugh....

This has some good stuff... I'm not feeling particularly eloquent at the moment, just look at the prompts.

I'll post more as I think of them -- and I would be very grateful if you would e-mail me (at authorsunderst@gmail.com) if you have any others that you like.
